Everythings nice here on the Maes!

Bustling from start to finish, the turnout today was quite steady and the weather was beautiful. There was live music from a good range of genres, and school children dressed up in traditional Welsh clothing performed dances.  Today’s GGAT events at the Eisteddfod included the Archwilio display, fish trap making, Prehistoric shell-necklace making and a cave painting display too. Welsh-language enthusiasts and speakers, former and current archaeologists, families on a day out and people researching local history (amongst others) stopped by our stand for a chat and to have a go at our crafts.  As a very new Welsh-learning beginner, it was very nice to hear so many people speaking Welsh to one another, particularly young people of the newest generation.
